It has huge costs for the state of Texas to keep them patrolled but its an issue to politicians.The author of the article is filming a movie about the border and he talks about the way an immigrant came into Texas and is now starring in his film playing just that. I would recommend someone to read this article because its insightful as well as entertaining. It doesn't really give reason for why the argument is so big but it is interesting to read and its an easy read.
