Texas government is too involved in the structure and education of pubic schools throughout the state. The government advocates to the involvement in education in their campaigning to gain votes. Schools now have to follow the governments plans and testing methods to test the students and move them on in their education. The government wants to be involved in the education of students but what they don't do is help with the expenses of education in Texas. College Professors have to follow the guidelines set to test students and that can be a disadvantage especially in the language departments. Language taught in college is set to be taught a certain way but does it really help? It's hard enough to learn a new language but to have to conform to the guidelines set by departments who probably don't realize that it's not helping them learn the language at all. It's a disadvantage to the students who pay so much money for tuition and the government's intervention in these courses is not helping. Students should be able to learn and be taught more easily without the government controlling the system. They invest money in these big colleges and so gain more control of what can happen. The government should implement more policies to stay near but far from the education system. They should help students pay for their education and give teachers more freedom to teach the way they want to teach. Government officials who run for office should advocate to help students in their paying for college and also help the school system have more freedom in the teaching policies. The way students are tested should also be useful to all school systems even the one's who don't have the resources to help their students excel as much as other schools.
