The documentary is about a woman named Katrina who is one of millions of woman in the United States who live off of a minimum wage job. She has to take care of her 3 kids and pay for the bills and their school. The documentary follows her in her everyday struggles to maintain a living for her kids working in a nursing home that she does not enjoy. She is alone and has no one to depend on. Forty-two million woman are in poverty and 13 million of them have children to take care of. Some alternatives to this problem could be offering more education to the kids. There were 250 kids on the waiting list for the school that helped families from low income housing. Food stamps are also helpful to the families i know many families who need it and sometimes its not enough. Many of these families also need more help in continuing education. Education can help them gain more income and help them out of their situation. We should definitely do something to help these families and the kids. The kids are the future of the generation and their education is very important. Also the health system should provide insurance to these families who can’t afford it. Katrina needed medication but could not afford it so she couldn't help herself. These families struggle everyday and it made me realize how fortunate I am and how much I have. Everyone should see this documentary to realize what others go through to put bread on the table.
